Dear Candlewood Swim Club Member,
We sincerely hope this finds you safe and healthy during this global pandemic!
At this time due to Governor Murphy’s Executive Order (#107) and the COVID-19 virus, we must make it official and notify everyone that The Candlewood Swim and Racquet Club will not be opening on Memorial Day weekend!
Before we are allowed to open, we must have a pre-opening health inspection by the local Board of Health. After speaking with Board of Health officials, we feel that we may be able to open shortly after the Executive Order is lifted or revised.
We want to open the pool as quickly and safely as possible. With that being said, we will work with the local Board of Health to create safe guidelines and protocols for operation. We will not open the Swim Club before June 13th, 2020.
We are currently exploring options to make up the seven missed normal days of operation. Please keep in mind that this summer was already seven (7) days longer than last year as Memorial Day is the earliest it could be, and Labor Day is the latest it could be.
If by chance we are not allowed to open or the closure of recreational facilities continues past July 1st, 2020, another notice will go out to everyone regarding refunds and/or any changes in our membership policy. We are optimistic that we will open safely with some modifications and restrictions at some point this summer.
We appreciate your patience and understanding at this difficult time! We will continue to send updates as new information becomes available.
Stay safe and healthy!
The Management of Candlewood Swim & Racquet Club
